Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority and Incheon United Achieve Strong Results Through Demonstration Program

The Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority announced that Incheon Startup Park’s TRYOUT public demonstration program has been successfully completed.

Incheon Startup Park and Incheon United signed an MOU in March 2023 to discover and foster innovative startups for building a smart club, and the program has now been running for three years.

This year, two startups were selected through a recruitment process and supported in demonstrating their business models. HANZOOM and Aenna introduced and verified their innovative technologies on site, and both companies’ technologies and services are scheduled to be reflected in Incheon United’s club operations in 2026.

Event waiting room (15 units)

HANZOOM installed and demonstrated smart lockers using Smart Safety Control (Keyless) technology at the Incheon Football Stadium in interview waiting rooms, interview rooms, camera press rooms, and security rooms. The lockers apply new technologies such as bidirectional OTP authentication, QR-code-based self-registration/authentication for unspecified users, and mobile one-touch app control.

The installation strengthened security by allowing guards, reporters, volunteers, and others entering the stadium to safely store personal belongings and expensive equipment. Demonstration indicators such as BLE connection rate, OTP transmission rate, and physical lock opening rate exceeded their targets.

The simplified system also does not require a fixed TCP/IP network or controller, which is expected to reduce operating costs.

Based on these demonstration results, HANZOOM achieved designation as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service and selection as an Innovation Premier 1000 company.

CEO Choi Kyung-sik said, “We are grateful for the opportunity to install and verify smart lockers at a football stadium for the first time in Korea. Based on this excellent evaluation, we will focus further on business expansion.”

Aenna, an AI-based safety management startup, demonstrated a skybox reservation and kiosk marketing system at the stadium.

The system built for 11 skyboxes can provide occupancy notifications, club promotional content, and AI-generated composite videos of visitors and players. It received positive responses by offering more satisfying content for skybox spectators.

Aenna also exceeded its demonstration targets and won a national R&D project worth about KRW 5 billion for 2025 based on the results and technology.

Sohn Hye-young, head of the Innovation Growth City Division at the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority, said the program enabled startups to conduct demonstrations with a professional football club that would otherwise be difficult to access, leading not only to demonstration results but also to club adoption. She added that Incheon Startup Park will continue to discover partners and support startup growth.
