A total of 36 awards were presented, including the Information Security Awards, Innovation Awards, and commendations for contributions to industry development.
The Ministry of Science and ICT and KISIA held the 2024 Information Security Industry Night at Novotel Ambassador Gangnam in Seoul under the theme ‘Information security industry strengthened through collaboration, trust completed through innovation.’ Industry, academia, and research participants gathered to celebrate the achievements of Korea’s information security industry and pledge cooperation for global competitiveness.
At the ceremony, Minister Yoo Sang-im presented commendations to organizations and individuals who contributed to the development of the information security industry. The event included 36 awards covering the Information Security Awards, Outstanding R&D Awards, commendations for industry development, and Information Security Product Innovation Awards.
The 23rd Information Security Awards went to Toss Bank and SR. Outstanding R&D awards went to ETRI’s principal researcher Park Jong-geun in the completed-project category and Ksign’s technology planning director Kim Jung-mi in the continuing-project category.
The Information Security Product Innovation Awards recognized 10 products across the first and second halves of the year, including HANZOOM’s smart door lock/smart mailbox, MarkAny’s Screen TRACER, Sparrow SAST, Cubig DTS, and SoftCamp SHIELDEX Remote Browser.
Award-winning companies emphasized continued innovation and responsibility in the rapidly changing digital environment, pledging to provide safer and more trusted solutions.
