Sejong Special Self-Governing City held the 2024 Sejong Startup Festival for two days from the 4th with the Sejong Center for Creative Economy & Innovation at Courtyard by Marriott Sejong.
The event was planned to create a collaborative forum for local innovation players and resources to exchange and cooperate, accelerating the creation of a startup foundation and startup growth support.
The first day included a mobility ICT conference covering startup and technology trends, success cases, and R&D introductions. The second day included meetings with incubated companies, open innovation performance reports, and the 2024 Sejong Startup Night.
At Sejong Startup Night, Sejong Mayor Choi Min-ho, City Council Chair Lim Chae-sung, National Assembly member Kim Jong-min and other officials attended a declaration ceremony promoting Sejong as a good city for startups. HANZOOM was also recognized as an outstanding company for startup achievements with the Sejong Special Self-Governing City Mayor’s Award.
Mayor Choi said the city will actively support startup policies, incubation spaces, technology advancement, and market development, while listening closely to voices from the startup ecosystem.
