A K-smart city service company is drawing attention with technology that safely and conveniently controls IoT devices such as smart locks through bidirectional OTP security authentication.
HANZOOM introduced Smart Safety Control Solution v2.0, a system that remotely controls various IoT devices in a smart city through a mobile app.
The technology connects IoT devices, smartphones, and a security authentication server. In everyday use, it connects delivery workers or administrators and users through mobile communication networks without requiring a dedicated network.
The solution is safe through OTP security authentication, convenient through push-message information delivery, and economical through smartphone use. It also allows temporary users to be approved remotely within the app.
HANZOOM has implemented a convenient and strong security authentication method by connecting IoT devices and the authentication server through mobile networks, rather than using conventional portable OTP authentication.
Because OTP patterns on both the IoT device and the authentication server must be analyzed, passwords are not exposed and are protected securely.
HANZOOM has secured 31 business-related patents and has successfully completed technology demonstration projects with Incheon Urban Corporation and LH Korea Land & Housing Corporation.
A HANZOOM official said the technology is expanding beyond smart homes and mailboxes into smart schools, smart offices, smart tourism, smart markets, smart factories, and infrastructure security as a smart-city keyless solution.
