[New SW Product Awards Recommended Product] HANZOOM ‘Smart Mailbox Solution v2.0’

HANZOOM submitted ‘Smart Mailbox Solution v2.0,’ which applies smartphone-linked bidirectional OTP security authentication technology.

The solution eliminates the need for face-to-face contact between delivery workers and recipients through a mobile app. It also removes waiting time and security concerns. The smart mailbox can be installed in apartments, officetels, villas, detached houses, offices, and many other types of buildings.

Its core technology links IoT devices, smartphones, and a security authentication server to provide safe and convenient remote control of smart mailbox locks through bidirectional OTP security authentication. Unlike conventional portable OTP authentication, IoT devices and the authentication server are connected through a mobile network, enabling security authentication without user intervention.

Because OTP patterns on both the IoT device and the authentication server must be analyzed, the system helps protect against hacking. Since a one-time password is analyzed and authenticated at every connection, passwords are not exposed.

The smartphone-based remote control technology connects delivery workers, administrators, and residents through mobile networks without a dedicated network, and opens the smart mailbox door safely and conveniently through OTP security authentication. Usage information is transmitted to and stored on the operation server.

Smart Mailbox Solution v2.0 does not require a separate communication network, power construction, or additional controller. It is safe through OTP authentication, convenient through notification message transmission, and economical through smartphone use. It also expands the user scope by allowing other users to be approved remotely in the app.

HANZOOM has completed pilot sites and is focusing on nationwide deployment. Pilot references include the Korea Post–LH Suncheon Yeonhyang Jugong Apartment, Hanam Smart Traditional Market, and Sejong Smart City. The company has also been selected for LH’s smart-city technology demonstration project and is building services in Dongtan and Sejong new towns.

CEO Choi Kyung-sik said HANZOOM means creating a fast, safe, and convenient world that can be opened with one hand, and added that the company will use its core technology to improve safety and convenience and accelerate mobile transformation.
