Incheon Urban Corporation (iH) announced on the 30th that it successfully completed ‘Smart-X City,’ a smart-city startup demonstration support project jointly promoted with Incheon Startup Park.
Smart-X City is a program that supports smart-city startups with demonstration resources such as space and experts, and discovers innovative services through the testing of products and services.
In May, iH and Incheon Technopark signed an MOU to support Incheon Startup Park for the growth of innovative startups and launched Smart-X City.
iH provided two rental housing sites and a new-town development area as demonstration spaces, giving startups opportunities to freely test their products and accumulate data.
Four companies, including HANZOOM, were selected and conducted demonstrations in spaces provided by iH.
Lee Seung-woo, president of iH, said he hoped the project would help produce many innovative companies in Incheon, and that iH would lead future demonstration projects linked with the Geomdan New Town smart-city living lab.
