The ‘Sejong Smart City National Pilot City Idea Demo Day,’ hosted by the Smart City Association and supported by the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, concluded successfully with nine final winning teams.
The event was the second stage of the Sejong Smart City National Pilot City idea competition. It was held to discover citizen- and customer-centered ideas that can later be commercialized around the seven innovation elements of the Sejong smart city pilot city: mobility, healthcare, education and jobs, energy and environment, governance, culture and shopping, and living and safety.
A total of 111 teams submitted ideas in the first-stage competition, and nine teams were selected through document and presentation evaluations: three idea teams and six commercialization teams.
The selected teams received mock crowdfunding training, one-on-one consulting, and presentation coaching, then presented their improved ideas at the Demo Day.
In the commercialization category, HANZOOM participated with its ‘Smart House’ solution using a smartphone app based on OTP security authentication technology. In the final results, Office Deal won the grand prize, Innovus won the top excellence award, Oysterable won the excellence award, and Injeolmi, Haerang, and HANZOOM received encouragement awards.
