Rather than relying on conventional portable OTP authentication, the technology connects IoT devices such as smart locks with the authentication server through a mobile network to process OTP security authentication. Because OTP patterns on both the IoT device and the authentication server are analyzed, the system is designed to respond strongly to hacking attempts. A one-time password is analyzed and authenticated each time a connection is made, preventing password exposure and protecting the system securely.
The smartphone-based remote control technology connects postal workers or delivery staff and administrators using smart PDAs with residents’ smartphones through a communication network, without requiring a dedicated network. Through OTP security authentication, it opens the smart mailbox door safely and conveniently. Usage information is transmitted to and stored on the operation server.
The postal worker smart PDA app automatically opens the mailbox for the relevant address simply by scanning a registered mail or parcel barcode.
